Why we need data

Viva Salud processes your data for below legal grounds and purposes:

• In the context of a contract: for work contracts, volunteer contracts or other agreements to be carried out;
• In the context of legal obligations: for creation of tax certificates;
• In the context of justified interest: for processing of donations and to keep donors informed on our operations and needs; for processing an information and/or registration request; to inform professional contacts of our activities, to send our electronic newsletter and/or paper magazine; to inform you on actions, campaigns and activities that are closely connected to your interests; to evaluate our operations and to enable us to contact you if required for the improvement of our operations.

Viva Salud does not collect information for purposes other than those described above unless you have given your express consent.

Personal data we process

Viva Salud processes personal data about you because you participate in our events, donate funds and/or because you provide us with this information yourself.

This is an overview of the personal data we process:

• First and last name
• Gender
• Birth date
• Address details
• Phone number
• Email address
• Preferred language
• Other personal data (including your specific interests) you have actively provided, for instance by participating in our activities, donating, creating a profile on our website, in correspondence or by phone.

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

We do not intend to collect data on website visitors under the age of 16, unless approved by their parents or guardian. We can not verify however if a visitor is over 16. We therefore recommend parents to be involved in their children’s online activity in order to prevent data on their children being collected without parental permission. Should you feel we have collected personal data on minors without this permission, please contact us and we will remove all information concerned.

How long we keep data

Viva Salud will not keep your data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Our retention terms are a maximum of five years after the last registered contact (like newsletter, contact via phone,…) unless there is a legal obligation to keep certain data for a longer period.

Sharing with others

Viva Salud will only share your data with others in the cases listed below:

• Because we are using third party solutions for technical reasons (e.g. webhosting, CRM software,…);
• When required for the implementation of our agreement with you;

We never transfer personal data to third parties we have not signed a data processing agreement with.

Also, we will not transfer the data provided by you to third parties, except when required to fulfill legal obligations, such as our declaration to the FPS Finance with regard to tax certificates.

Tracking of website browsing

Viva Salud does not track your website browsing. Viva Salud uses technology such as cookies on its websites vivasalud.be and acties.vivasalud.be and actions.vivasalud.be in order to analyze web traffic and to optimize website performance during your visit, by remembering details such as information filled in on forms and language choice for instance.

We also share information on the use of our website with social media partners and analytical online tools, but this data is anonymized.

Consulting, changing or removing data

You are entitled to consult, correct or remove your data. You may address requests for consultation, correction or removal to info@vivasalud.be. Viva Salud will respond to your request as soon as possible, with a maximum response time of four weeks.

Viva Salud takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to avoid misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized change.
